A year ago I was attempting to be cheap and tried to take advantage of another year of a free domain when renewing the personal plan.
I thought that if I dropped the domain, then renewed my plan and chose that domain as the one I wanted to use free for a year, that it would work. It didn’t – and I wasn’t able to get it back for several months. I had to change to digitalfilmnerd.blog.
Well, that expired and wordpress had a promotion going on for 40% off domains. So, guess what? The digitalfilmnerd.com domain was available once again, and $12 a year after discount isn’t bad at all. If I’m lucky, there will be more sales and promotions next year. As the Q said to Captain Picard in the episode of Star Trek TNG in which he’s reinstated into the Q continuum, “I’m BACK!!!” I am a “dot-com” again!!! digitalfilmnerd.com is now me!
I will be letting the digitalfilmnerd.blog domain expire in August.
