When you peruse the parts of college campuses where art students display their stuff, you find some strange things. I will be honest with you – I have no idea what this wooden sculpture, shot on the campus of George Mason University in the late 1990’s is. A flower? A mushroom? A nuclear mushroom cloud? A certain part of the human anatomy that is highly phallic by Freudian standards? Perhaps the intention is to trigger deep thought, and if so I would say the goal has been achieved. If nothing else, the artist that did this understands that people should shoot photos, not each other.
