I wish I could tell you more about htis photograph. All I can tell you is is it was shot on the date of June 9, 2025 at 10:06am, US Central Standard Time. I was in my mother’s living room at the time and I somehow triggered my iPhone camera by accident. I didn’t even remember doing it until I found it in my pictures later.
The longer you look at it, the more psychedelic it gets. The brigher parts are shaped like a cross and there almost appears to be a human face. A Marian apparition? Christ himself? It was in my mother’s living room, perhaps my departed father? Random light?
I’m reminded of the famous Bob Ross quote that he used in many episodes of his Joy of Painting television show – “We don’t make mistakes. We just have happy accidents.”

To be fair, it did not come off the phone like that. I had the idea to give it a bit more color, so I used some artistic license in the GIMP software.
This picture below is what actually came off the phone. There’s a dirty little secret that photography aficionados won’t tell you – they never come out of the camera looking that nice. They’re all edited. You’re no less of an artist if you edit, and certainly no less of a good photographer. Graphics software exists for a reason – to be used! Shoot photos, not each other.
