Not long ago I posted this picture of graffiti on a local power station. I shot that picture on my phone, and I decided I wanted to take another lunchtime work walk today with my Nikon camera to take something a bit better. To my surprise, it had been cleaned up. Not only that, but different graffiti was there. It did not appear to be spray painted this time. To be truthful, I’m not sure I want to know what was used here because I am not a hundred percent sure it was paint. As I said before, the first amendment of the U.S. Constitution does cover this sort of free speech. As before, the choice of defacing public equipment is questionable. Doing it in what appears to be blood (I sure wasn’t about to touch it) is even more so.
Odd as it may be, they aren’t wrong. I must confide in our international audience that the USA is in a dark place. We are one great country in a community of great countries, but we are in a dark place. Shoot photos, not each other!
