So, as an artist, I sometimes feel the need to make fun of myself just a little bit. Being outside trying to take pictures of the the rare display of northern lights, I suddenly found myself in a bind. I was doing very slow (20-30 second) exposures of the sky to try and get as much solar flare as my camera could capture. I’m outside taking my pictures, when suddenly, up ahead in the distance, I saw headlights. A car was coming, so I had to get out of the street. I picked up my tripod and moved out of their way. What I didn’t know is that the whole time my shutter was open.
The result? Psychedelic lights that have absolutely nothing to do with our sun.
Shoot photos, not each other!
